Math is the hidden secret to understanding the world

Your Bible is probably in English. It's a translation from the original languages.

Language is essential for communication. We learn simple symbols (an alphabet and punctuation) in order to understand one another. Mathematics is a language. It uses numerals, and symbols, like + and x, so that we can communicate and understand.

Mathematical structure and patterns, and design, are found in nature, in music, and in the cosmos.

The Scriptures, in their original form, have the language of maths within ancient spoken languages. Could we allow ourselves to believe that? Do we believe in a God who might do that? The plain text of the Bible presents one Truth from different angles. God repeats Himself in stories of the lives of people. God takes us deeper so that we will know Him better?

This entertaining non-religious talk proves that changing perspective leads to greater understanding and even empathy.
